Kartini Day Celebration
21 April is called Kartini Day to commemorate a famous Indonesian heroine who struggled for women emancipation. Because of her, women can go to school and develop their career. Students of SMAN1 held a contest of Kartini Kartono, a couple who should be smart, elegant, in perfect union, creative, and able to give brilliant answers on judges’ questions. There were other activities such as Gobag Sodor games, dusbin painting contest, Gamelan orchestra and bands. Happy Kartini Day!
21 April disebut hari Kartini untuk memperingati pahlawan wanita Indonesia yang berjuang untuk emansipasi wanita. Oleh karenanya wanita dapat menuntut ilmu dan berkarir. Para siswa SMAN1 mengadakan lomba Kartini Kartono, pasangan yang cerdas, anggun, serasi, kreatif dan mampu menjawab pertanyaan juri dengan tepat. Selain itu ada pula beberapa aktivitas seperti permainan Gobag Sodor, lomba melukis tempat sampah, orkestra gamelan dan pertunjukan grup band. Selamat hari Kartini!

For the first time I was celebrated Kartini's Day at school with all students in SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga.
I felt very happy :)
From X8, Kartini Kartono couple is represented by Yehuda Aribowo and Anona Sandy Maria. They were dressed up by Eldaberti Greselda. Anona looked so beautiful with simple make up.
When Yehuda and Anona were dressed up, Bagaskara, Ira, Diannita with the help of all X8 students painting the dustbin.
And look the second photo. That is the photo when Bagaskara and Diannita were painting the dustbin.
I hope that the cultural activity can be carry out every year :)
